"I have a simple mission: To create an open-source, non-linear video editor for Linux. Many have tried and fallen before me, but for some reason I feel compelled to try myself. I am documenting my journey in this blog for all to read. It will be a dangerous journey, and I might not make it back alive. Hold on tight, and enjoy the ride! By the way, I'm calling this project OpenShot Video Editor!"

Ladies & Gentlemen, I have so many new & exciting feature announcements, that I have decided to do another feature marathon!!! Starting tonight at 12:00 AM (CST / GMT-6), I will be revealing the first of 4 new features! These are big-time features that OpenShot was missing... until now. Oh yeah, I will also be releasing many new demo videos, to be sure everyone can see how they work. Stay tuned!

    Really looking forward to it.

I stumbled pretty hard trying to get OpenShot running. Too bad because I was excited about using it. I'll give it another shot in the near future.

Keep up the brilliant work. :)

Excellent. I especially like screencasts. Those are really valuable.

Now you got me curious about what those new major features might be. I have to go back to check those blueprints... perhaps there are some hints.

I put my uneducated guesses here (to be unfair, I'll make five guesses).
    1. New audio track editing features, separating audio from video track
    2. "gapless" video clip editing (moving, deleting, adding on timeline)
    3. New improved video export screen
    4. Video effects - pluggable video effect engine
    5. Clip playback speed control - individual clips can be set to play slower or faster

Haha, that's some good guessing! And you almost got it... but not quite.
