How often do you record a video with the camera on it's side? Well, I was surprised to find that this happens quite often, especially when you think about cell phone cameras, flip cams, digital cameras, etc... All of these devices are just begging to be held sideways when recording video.
,
Well, if this sounds like a common scenario to you, then you will love this new feature announcement, Simple Rotation!
How does it work?
Step 1 - Choose "Rotate" from the right click menu on any clip, and select the correct amount of rotation. And... that's it. There are no more steps. =)
Rotation Setting
Each clip now has an internal "rotate" setting, that can also be modified on the clip properties screen, as shown in the following image:

Does that mean you can apply a free rotation in the properties (i.e. 30°)? :)

dear friend,
firstly thanks for your response. But I don't know this particular feature is missing in my OS. I installed it very recently, and I use Ubuntu 10.10. when right click a clip I could find every thing as in your screenshot except rotation feature. Even in properties it is same. By the way I am using OpenShot 1.2.2 is it not one you demonstrated.
Regards

#2 It's a new feature, so I assume we will be able to use it as soon as a new version comes out.

This is excellent, I’ve tried a couple of different classes and this is by far the best that I have come across. It’s allowing me to do more than I actually wanted to, which is now giving me more flexibility in my application. Thank you for allowing us to use this freely, very much appreciated.
